No, Canada...For Alexei Ramirez
After shitting their pants once again at the Triple H dome of doom like they always do, the White Sox head northeast across the board to take on the Blue Jays. However, Alexei Ramirez will be staying..well..wherever the fuck he stays. White Sox.com beat writer Scott Merkin:
The White Sox will need to make a short-term roster move prior to Friday night's series opener against the Blue Jays at Rogers Centre due to visa problems encountered by Alexei Ramirez, according to general manager Ken Williams.
"I have to do something for the next four days because Alexi won't be able to get into Toronto," Williams told MLB.com before the series finale with the Twins. "Well, he might be able to get in, but we would like to be able to have him come back with us."
Jose Contreras had the same problem during the White Sox first trip into Toronto after he joined the team. The team left the airport for the hotel, while Contreras was "locked in a little room" back at the airport, by Williams' recollection, for 35 to 40 minutes, according to Contreras.
They shoulda fucking left Contreras there. Though I will say he has been pitching pretty well, assuming he doesn't keep trying that 3/4 angle bullshit. Now the only thing the Sox need to do other then putting together something called a winning streak is accidently put Uribe's Visa in a shredder. Or somewhere that involves him running after it.
